Direct trade Tea

OXALIS purchases tea exclusively by direct trade, in other words by dealing with growers directly and not through an agent. This is important for several reasons. We visit their plantations, get to know each other and discuss arrangements for cooperation, positively influencing the quality of the products and enabling us to build up a level of trust. It also means we have access to limited harvests that would otherwise only be available locally.

We lend support to our business partners in order to source the very best tea. This is done, for example, by buying a large amount, paying a fair price, sharing knowledge or experience, and negotiating in a responsible manner. An approach like this encourages innovation in the processing methods employed and in factories. For these reasons OXALIS is able to offer tea of the highest quality, with the added bonus of knowing its exact origins.
