Colombia Las Delicias, 500 g

This exceptional coffee comes from Finca Las Delicias, a farm run by Yesid Castañeda Marín in Colombia’s Huila region. The coffee trees are grown at a high altitude of around 2,000 metres above sea level, where the cooler climate and slower ripening of the cherries allow a complex and distinctive flavour profile to develop. The beans are processed using the washed method, which highlights their bright, fresh character and allows the natural qualities of both the variety and the terroir to shine through. Pink Bourbon is prized for its elegance, clarity and pronounced aromatic qualities. It is one of the most sought-after varieties in today’s specialty coffee scene. Thanks to its complex flavour profile, it regularly appears in barista competitions and often achieves very high cupping scores. There is even an emerging trend suggesting that Pink Bourbon is gradually beginning to surpass Geisha in popularity, a variety that has long been a dominant presence in barista competitions. Despite its name, Pink Bourbon is not a hybrid of Red and Yellow Bourbon. According to more recent genetic studies, it is more closely related to Ethiopian coffee varieties, which helps explain its complex and often intensely fruity character. It is a distinctive coffee variety whose cherries ripen to beautiful shades of pink. While visually striking, determining their optimal ripeness can be quite challenging, as their colour does not change significantly as they mature. For this reason, the cherries must be harvested exclusively by hand, requiring highly experienced pickers. In the cup, you can discover fresh and juicy notes reminiscent of apple cider, complemented by the sweetness of biscuits and a delicate hint of caramel. This coffee is an ideal choice for lovers of fresh, aromatic and elegant coffees distinguished by their clean flavour and pronounced fruity character.

Adjust the grind size according to the chosen method of coffee preparation. Use 7 g of ground coffee per 100 ml of water at a temperature of 93-94°C.
