Description
The Castleton tea garden lies on the western slopes of the mountains traversed by the famous “toy train” to Darjeeling, at altitudes ranging from 900 to 1,830 m above sea level. It is one of the region’s most renowned estates, with tea cultivation dating back to 1885. Once infused, the mix of green-hued leaves produces a golden liquor. Both the aroma and taste reveal notes of sweet white grapes and jasmine.
Preparation
Use 12 g of tea (approx. 5 heaped tsp) per 1 l of freshly boiled water. Infuse for 3 minutes. Then strain. Suitable for 1 infusion.
