Description
Tribulus terrestris is among the traditionally used herbs of European, Asian and Mediterranean cultures. It also holds a notable place in folk traditions. In ancient India, it was regarded as a herb of vitality, while in the Mediterranean it symbolised resilience due to its ability to thrive even in dry and challenging conditions. The spiky fruits of Tribulus resemble a trident, a shape reflected in the Latin name of the genus Tribulus, which literally means “trident”.The herb was grown in Czech fields and brings a distinctive, natural and gently spicy flavour to the cup.In scientific literature, Tribulus is mentioned in connection with themes such as hormonal balance, reproductive comfort and the normal function of the urinary system; however, under EU legislation we cannot state any health effects of herbs.Maintain a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Preparation
Recommended daily intake (RDI) 1 tsp = 1.8 g of the herb once a day. Preparation: Pour 250 ml of freshly boiled water over 1.8 g (1 tsp) and leave to infuse for 10 min., then strain. Do not exceed the RDI. Not suitable for children or pregnant/breastfeeding women. Not a supplement for a healthy diet. Keep out of reach of children.
