Description
Sage is one of the most long-standing herbs used in European culture. It appears in monastic gardens, ancient manuscripts and folk traditions, where it is often associated with wisdom, protection and life balance. For generations, it has been part of household care, herbal blends and various traditional rituals.In folk storytelling, sage was believed to have the ability to “cleanse” a space and bring calm and harmony into the home. An old Mediterranean proverb even says: “Where sage grows, a healthy person lives,” highlighting the important role this herb played in the daily life of our ancestors.In scientific literature, sage is mentioned in connection with themes such as respiratory comfort, digestion, hormonal balance and overall well-being. According to current EU legislation, we cannot state the health effects of herbs.
Preparation
Use 1.5 g (approx. 2 heaped tsp) of the herb per 250 ml of freshly boiled water and leave it to infuse for 5-10 minutes; then strain. Drink 1-2 times a day. Not suitable for children, pregnant and breastfeeding women.
