China Jiu Jiu Huan Ya, 500 g

Jiu Jiu Huan Ya, meaning “Buds from Jiu Jiu”, is a premium green tea produced at the organic Jiu Jiu Organic Tea Farm in the mountainous Enshi region of Hubei Province, China. Enshi is one of the most important tea-growing regions in central China, renowned for its mist-covered mountains, fertile soils and ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality tea plants.The tea bushes grow at an altitude of 800–900 metres above sea level, where cooler temperatures and frequent mists slow the development of the young shoots. As a result, the leaves develop a higher concentration of aromatic compounds, giving the infusion greater depth, delicacy and natural sweetness. The Enshi region is also regarded as one of the cleanest tea-growing areas in China.The tea is harvested in spring, when only the youngest buds and leaves are carefully selected. Jiu Jiu Huan Ya combines traditional Chinese tea craftsmanship with modern organic cultivation. It showcases the very best that the high-altitude tea gardens of Hubei Province and the spring harvest of young tea shoots have to offer. The elongated green leaves with numerous silvery tips produce a green infusion. Both the aroma and flavour are dominated by creamy milk-foam notes, delicately complemented by fresh grassy undertones.

Bring the water to the boil and then let it cool down to 75-80°C. Use 10g of tea (approx 6 heaped teaspoons) for 1l of water. Allow to infuse for 2-3 minutes. Strain and serve. Suitable for 3-4 infusions.
