Description
This tea comes from the village of Kvenobani in the Guria region. It is produced in the small factory of Mr. Avtandil Lomtatidze, which processes tea leaves from local family gardens. Avtandil is among the first to revive tea production after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The long, wiry black-brown leaves yield a brown-orange liquor. Both aroma and flavour are rich and full-bodied, with a sweetness reminiscent of Turkish delight and caramel.
Preparation
Use 12 g of tea (approx. 6 heaped tsp) per 1 l of freshly boiled water. Allow to infuse for 3 minutes. Then strain. Suitable for 1-2 infusions.
