Description
The Okayti Tea Garden is located on the banks of the Mechi River, which flows along the border with Nepal, at an altitude of 1,770 m to 2,360 m. Tea has been grown here since 1888. After steeping the green leaves, which are a combination of light and dark shades, a yellow-orange infusion is created. The aroma reveals a blooming spring meadow. The taste is dominated by a mixture of fresh herbs with a hint of meadow honey.
Preparation
Use 12 g of tea (approx. 6 heaped tsp) per 1 l of water. Bring the water to the boil, then leave to cool to 85°C. Infuse for 2-3 minutes. Then strain. Suitable for 1-2 infusions.
