Description
Kabusecha green tea from the Kirishima region of Kagoshima Prefecture gets its name from the mats, or kabuse, that shade the tea leaves. It is a quality that is between Sencha and Gyokuro, mainly because the tea is shaded for a much shorter period than Gyokuro. The dark green, long, needle-like leaves produce a light green infusion. The taste reveals subtle grassy notes, young hazelnut and a light umami taste
Preparation
Use 12 g of tea (approx. 7 level tsp) per 1 l of water at the temperature of 70°C. Infuse for 2 minutes. Then strain. Suitable for 3-4 infusions.
