Description
The Giddapahar tea garden is one of the smaller yet highly esteemed plantations in the Darjeeling region. It is located near the town of Kurseong at an altitude of approximately 1,200 to 1,800 meters. The slightly twisted tea leaves produce a light ochre infusion. In the aroma, you may find notes of orange blossom, while the long-lasting taste is reminiscent of pomelo.
Preparation
Pour water that has been brought to a boil and cooled to 85°C over the tea, using a ratio of 10 g (approx. 6 heaped teaspoons) per 1 liter of water. Let it steep for 3 minutes, then strain. Suitable for up to 2 infusions.
