Description
The garden takes its name from the breathtaking view of the snow-covered Himalayan mountains. From time to time, elephants, bison, leopards, and even rhinos bathing in the local Moortee River can be spotted here. Owing to its rich ecosystem, the garden became a partner of The Wildlife Enterprise, an initiative dedicated to protecting elephant populations. As a result, it was awarded the title of the first “Elephant Friendly Tea Garden” in Darjeeling. The twisted brown leaves with numerous light tips yield a brown-orange infusion. Both aroma and taste reveal notes of nutmeg and cinnamon.
Preparation
Use 12 g of tea (approx. 5 heaped tsp) per 1 l of freshly boiled water. Allow to infuse for 3 minutes. Then strain. Suitable for 1 infusion.
