Description
The tea garden is located between the Brahmaputra River and the world-famous Kaziranga Nature Reserve, which is known for the presence of the Indian rhinoceros. The name of the garden, Chardwar, translates to a tea garden with four gates to heaven. "Char" means four and "Dwar" means door. Black tea leaves create an orange infusion when steeped. The aroma and taste are dominated by candied orange. The taste is accompanied by fine tannins, reminiscent of the softness of mature red wine. The tea is especially excellent in combination with milk.
Preparation
Use 12 g of tea (approx. 5 heaped tsp) per 1 l of freshly boiled water. Infuse for 3 minutes. Then strain. Suitable for 1 infusion.
