India Darjeeling Thurbo SFTGFOP1 Inbetween, 1 kg

This tea comes from the renowned Thurbo Tea Estate, situated on the steep slopes of western Darjeeling at elevations of up to 2,000 metres, where the tea leaves are harvested exclusively by hand. The name Thurbo originates from the Nepali word "Tombu," meaning summit. Surrounded by the majestic Himalayas and the Mirik River valley, the estate benefits from cool nights, misty mornings, and a mountain climate that creates ideal conditions for the slow growth of the tea bushes. The result is tea with an exceptionally delicate, elegant, and complex character, making Thurbo one of the most highly regarded estates in Darjeeling.This tea comes from the Inbetween harvest, which takes place between the first spring harvest (First Flush) and the second summer harvest (Second Flush). It combines the freshness and floral notes of spring teas with the fuller body and rounder flavour of the later harvest. Dark brown leaves with delicate silvery tips produce a bright amber infusion with a harmonious aroma, revealing notes of young hazelnut and kumquat.

Use 12 g of tea (approx. 6 heaped tsp) per 1 l of water. Bring the water to the boil, then leave to cool to 90°C. Infuse for 2-3 minutes. Then strain. Suitable for 1-2 infusions.
